Meet Katie

Katie Campeau is a qualifying Registered Psychotherapist who works with individuals and couples using a person-centered and compassionate approach. She works with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, trauma, grief, stress, burnout, substance misuse, life transitions, and relationship challenges (with romantic partners, family members and friends).

Katie’s approach to therapy is informed by warmth, empathy, and a nonjudgmental stance. She believes in collaborating with clients to build a strong therapeutic relationship, and that everyone’s experience with mental health is unique and cannot be treated using one approach alone.

When working with individuals and couples, Katie integrates elements from multiple psychotherapeutic modalities based on clients’ mental health challenges and needs. The modalities she applies in individual therapy include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based interventions and psychodynamic therapy. In couples therapy, she applies Gottman Method Couples Therapy (she is certified in Level 1 training) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT).
